Soft Tissues Grafting in Dental Implant Surgery.

SOFT TISSUE1

A dental implant crown can be quite unaesthetic
if there is gum recession with exposure of the metal abutment .
This is especially common in Asian patients as their tissues are thinner.
Sometimes soft tissues grafting is required to improve the final outcome

SOFT TISSUE2

Soft tissue graft at implant site to thicken soft tissues.

A soft tissue graft can be harvested from the hard palate.
This is then transferred to the implant site to thicken the soft tissues.

Soft issue grafting is usually required for tooth implant in the aesthetic zone. This is especially important for Asian dental implant patients as they tend to have thinner bone and gum structures.
