19th Dental Implant Surgery Training Workshop ,Singapore
Dental implants as a means of teeth replacement has taken off in a big way in Singapore in the last few years or so. With higher levels of education and affluence , Singaporeans are no longer contented with having dentures or bridgework to replace their missing teeth. Instead, they want something better like dental implants. Dentures are loose and uncomfortable while traditional bridge work requires trimming of adjacent teeth. Dental implants on the other hand feels and behave like natural teeth. In the last 30 years or so , millions of dental implants have been placed in patients all over the world with high long term success rates. Initially, Singaporeans were hesitant to have dental implants as a form of teeth replacement because of the misconception that it is a complex and painful procedure. However, nowadays, with more and more Singaporeans having undergone the dental implant procedure, such a misconception has been largely debunked. As the dental implant procedure is known to be painless, there is suddenly an explosive demand for dental implants in Singapore in the last few years.
